You patiently guided us all the way through the unknown territory of building a custom home. There were so many decisions and choices. We had previously lived in a development, which offered few options to the new home buyer. And those few options were not that exciting, ether, so it was a constant compromise of our taste and style.

With the planning of our custom home, you suggested things that we had not even thought about, such as pocket lights above the bookcases, the French-style lever door handles instead of door knobs, the tile surround for the fireplace that matched our floor tiles, skylights that opened in the attic, and not buying a metal outside door. You used quality materials, so our new home was insulated at a higher rating than was required by law.

When shopping for a builder, there were three main things that sold me on having you build our home. First were the basements. Start-of-the-art, strong, well-insulated, quiet, bone dry, they formed a solid foundation for the rooms above. Secondly, Perry Cisney was obviously proud of every home he built. Finally, your office contained all sorts of samples from paint to sidling to tile to hardware, and computer pictures were at your fingertips showing room ideas. We could see, touch, and discuss available choices. No guesswork.

The entire experience was an education. Now, I am so spoiled by having a custom home that is well-made and that reflects us, I cannot envision ever going back to "the other king of housing."
